Week 48 update
Rev up the engine! (Janne K 25.11.2008)
Thanks to Jiri's spectacular negotiation skills the project funding is getting better so it's time to rev up the engine and start to put the car together.
This week's theme is modeling the engine compartment and mechanically fitting the wooden model of the electric motor into Corolla.
With engine compartment 3D model we can plan final positions of motor, battery pack and accessories under the hood. After that we can order the installation brackets from a metal shop.
In the background the eECU (electric engine controller unit) group and GUI (graphical user interface) group have been working and we'll get to look their results in the upcoming weeks. Thanks for all the activists for the immense momentum.
